A small girl’s love for the chocolate coal has become a national symbol.
And now, a California woman has created a website to show how she is using the commodity to help feed her family.
“I’m a little bit scared,” said the girl’s grandmother, Joanne Miller, who lives in Sacramento, California.
“It’s very hard.
But the more I know about it, the more confident I am.”
Miller said she’s used the coal for a variety of things, including making cakes for her family and selling it to restaurants.
She said she is looking forward to the day when coal will be mined more than 100 miles away in South Dakota.
